Groups and Permissions

Role-based access is available on any paid plans. Roles included are Members, Users, Developers, and Admins.

Groups and Granular permissions are available on Business and Enterprise plans.

Role-based access​

For each workspace, you can assign one of the following roles to each member:

  • Admins: Can use, run, edit all apps in the workspace, and manage the workspace and its users.
  • Developers: Can use, run, and edit all apps in the workspace
  • Users: Can use and run all apps in the workspace
  • Members: Is a member of the workspace but has no access to any apps (Useful in combination with granular permissions to provide access to specific apps only)

Groups​

Groups allow you to organize workspace members into groups and conveniently provide the same access to apps to one or more members at once.

Granular Permissions​

Granular permissions allow you to specify, on an app-by-app, user-by-user, or group-by-group basis, what access is allowed. Granular permissions can be one of:

  • Use: Allows the user to use the resource
  • Edit: Allows the user to use and edit the resource
  • Own: Allows the user to use a resource, edit it, or own it. Owning a resource means you can share access to it with other members.
